Principle
 
The automatic sodium ion exchanger (automatic water softener) is one of the commonly used equipment in the industrial production field.
However, if the boiler water contains hardness salts, such as calcium and magnesium ions, it will generate scale on the heating surface of the boiler. As a result, the thermal efficiency of the boiler is reduced, the fuel consumption is increased, and it may even cause local overheating to damage the components and cause an explosion.
Therefore, industrial boilers need to be treated with water softening or desalination.
